Artemis 2 crew returns after lunar journey
โThe crew's Orion spacecraft made the thirteen and a half minute journey through the atmosphere, reaching a top speed of around 33 times the speed of sound and slowing to just around 19 miles per hour at splashdown. The four astronauts have traveled more than 694,000 miles since launching from Florida's Kennedy Space Center. It was the first time humans ventured to the moon in more than fifty years.โ

JD Vance negotiates ceasefire talks in Pakistan
โThe Iranian team will be holding talks with Vance, who's traveling with special envoy Steve Whitkoff and president Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. Trump says his top priorities now are ensuring Iran has no nuclear weapon and that the Strait Of Hormuz opens for shipping. Iran is demanding an end to Israel's invasion of Lebanon.โ

โFirst lady Melania Trump made a rare and surprising public statement denying ties to Epstein and calling on congress to allow victims to testify. Her name appears in the latest tranche of documents published at the January. In an interview with The New York Times, Trump said it didn't bother him, and he, quote, thought she had a right to talk about it.โ

Murder charges filed in California warehouse explosion
โFive people have been charged with murder in connection to a massive explosion last July at a fireworks warehouse in Northern California. Seven people were killed in the blast. Among those said to be responsible for the explosion is a former Yolo County sheriff lieutenant.โ

CMS admits error in New York healthcare data
โThe Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services told the Associated Press administrator Mehmet Oz's claim that roughly 5,000,000 New Yorkers receive personal care services was an error. The actual number is a tenth of that, about 450,000 people. Michael Kanukin from the think tank Fiscal Policy Institute was first to show that number was likely incorrect.โ
